Flanges for data center projects in Delhi NCR

Delhi NCR is north India's main data center market, with hyperscale campuses in Noida and Greater Noida. It has the hottest summers and the coldest winters of the markets on these pages. Here is what that means for the cooling piping.

Forged weld neck flanges of different sizes on wooden racks in the RIC stores

For data centers in Delhi NCR we supply ASME B16.5 Class 150 carbon steel flanges in A105 for chilled water, condenser water and air-cooled chiller loops, ASME B16.47 flanges for mains above 24 inches, and 316L stainless flanges, pickled and passivated, for CDUs and technology cooling loops. Every heat ships with an EN 10204 3.1 certificate, and orders go by road from our works in Gujarat to Noida, Greater Noida or anywhere in the region.

The Delhi NCR data center market

Delhi NCR had 183 MW of operational data center capacity in the first half of 2026 and 387 MW of upcoming supply (Cushman & Wakefield). The region spans Delhi and neighboring districts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, and hyperscale campuses have been built in Noida and Greater Noida, in Uttar Pradesh, which has its own data center policy.

Yotta's D1 in Greater Noida, which W.Media reported in 2022 as the first hyperscale data center in north India, has 28.8 MW of IT load and room for 5,000 racks over seven server floors. It stands in a 20-acre park planned for 160 MW and 30,000 racks (W.Media).

Campuses of this size run large chilled water plants with long headers, so the flange schedule is dominated by A105 weld neck and slip-on flanges in Class 150, ASME B16.47 above 24 inches, and blind flanges on header ends for later halls.

Climate and what it means for the piping

Climate at Safdarjung, New Delhi: IMD 1991 to 2020 normals and station records
MeasureValue
Hottest month, average daily high39.9 °C (May)
Record high47.2 °C
Record low-0.6 °C
Annual rainfall774 mm, 83% of it from June to September

Delhi NCR has the widest temperature swing of the markets on these pages. At Safdarjung, New Delhi's reference station, the average daily high reaches 39.9 °C in May and the average low falls to 7.5 °C in January; the station records are 47.2 °C and -0.6 °C. About 83% of the 774 mm of annual rain falls from June to September, when the air turns humid.

Summer heat sets the size of air-cooled chillers and dry coolers, and their outdoor piping sits in direct sun. That does not change the flange class: ASME B16.5 still rates an A105 Class 150 flange at 17.7 bar at 100 °C. Winter is the other extreme, but even the record low is far above -29 °C (-20 °F), the lowest temperature to which ASME B16.5 rates A105, so no low-temperature grade is needed. Frost is rare but possible, so outdoor loops that can stand idle in winter should drain at their low points.

Getting flanges to Delhi NCR

Flanges go by road from our works in Umbergaon, Gujarat, to sites in Noida, Greater Noida and across the NCR, or to your contractor's yard or fabrication shop.

Domestic orders are invoiced with GST and travel with an e-way bill. Your engineer or third-party inspector is welcome at the works before dispatch. Supplying data center projects in India covers standards, inspection and ordering.

Flanges for other Indian data center markets: Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam.

Frequently asked questions

Do Delhi winters call for low-temperature flanges?

No. ASME B16.5 rates A105 down to -29 °C (-20 °F), and the lowest temperature on record at Safdarjung is -0.6 °C. A350 LF2 is needed only if your specification sets a lower minimum design metal temperature.

Which flange standard do NCR data center specifications use?

Usually ASME B16.5 Class 150, with ASME B16.47 above 24 inches. Plant designed to European practice may use EN 1092-1 PN16. Send the specification with your line list and we quote each line to it.

Can you deliver to Noida and Greater Noida?

Yes. Orders go by road from our works in Gujarat to the site, your contractor's yard or a fabrication shop anywhere in the NCR, with a GST tax invoice and an e-way bill. The quotation states the delivery terms.
